Positions Open for the November 3, 2026 General Election:

  • Mayor – 2-year term
  • City Councilor – 4-year term
  • City Councilor – 4-year term
  • City Councilor – 4-year term
    The positions are at large. Mayor Dustan Hall offered his resignation after the July 1, 2026 city council meeting and the council may accept the resignation and declare the office vacant at the August 5, 2026 city council meeting. The three city councilors currently holding office that are up for election are Councilor Janet Stinchfield, Councilor Eli Caudill, and Councilor Michael Durfey.

Required Qualifications:

To be eligible to serve on the Council, a person must:

  • Have residency within the city for a continuous period of 12 months immediately preceding election or appointment;
  • Be registered to vote within the city for 12 continuous months immediately preceding election or appointment;
  • Continue residency within the city during any term of office; and
  • Not be an employee of the city unless the employees position is substantially volunteer in nature.

Filing Forms:

Form SEL 101 Candidate Filing Form can be found online here or can be picked up at Condon City Hall. To run for office in the City of Condon, you must submit a completed SEL 101 to the City Elections Officer and either pay a $10 filing fee or obtain 20 signatures of electors who reside in the city on SEL 121 Candidate Signature Sheet. The signature forms can be found online here or picked up at Condon City Hall.

Form SEL 180 Residence Address Exemption Request can be found online here. This only exempts your physical address from the candidate filing form. *This is an online only form.

Filing Deadlines:

Completed Candidate Filing Forms must be filed with the City Elections Officer no later than
Monday, August 17, 2026 at 3:00pm.

Withdrawal of Candidacy or Nomination

To withdraw from candidacy or nomination, a candidate must file a Withdrawal of Candidacy of Nomination Form SEL 150, found here, and notify the City Recorder no later than 12:00 noon on Friday, August 28, 2026. *This is an online only form.
